The Colt Skyracer is built around Breitlight, a proprietary carbon-based composite Breitling developed for extreme-sport use, more than three times lighter than titanium and resistant to scratching, magnetism, and temperature extremes. This 45mm reference puts that engineering front and center with a black dial and Breitling's high-precision quartz movement, a deliberate choice favoring accuracy and low maintenance over the romance of a mechanical caliber. The Colt line has since been phased out of Breitling's current catalog, making surviving examples like this one a way to own a piece of the brand's more recent sport-watch experimentation.
